Philippians 1:9-11

9And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, 11filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

This is a GREAT verse to be praying for my boys.

A deeper understanding of Jesus' love and death on the cross and growth in love for others will lead to discernment and righteousness!  As I train them in the GOSPEL, they will grow and produce these fruits that I LONG for them to have.  Ethan seems to be having the hardest time with this lately. He KNOWS right from wrong, but really struggles to remain pure and blameless in everyday situations.  I do not need to get discouraged by his (their) immaturity because if the Lord has begun a good work in them, then He promises to carry it to completion." 6being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

Levi turns 2

Benjamin's 3 month Personality

My sweet Ben-a-min- (that's what Levi calls you!) You are definitely my easiest baby.  You are content where ever I put you - even in a pink life jacket on a pontoon boat.  You cry when you are wet, dirty, sleepy or hungry - but that's it!  You have been sleeping thru the night for a month now and that helps me tremendously.  You are a talker and a singer and don't mind WHO happens to be holding you  - it can be mommy, levi or the neighbors across the street.

Ethan and Tomatos

A great learning opportunity for Ethan happened last week.  On one of his daily adventures in the neighborhood with Danny (his BFF) they decided to begin smashing tomatoes in a yard behind us.  Obviously, this was a poor choice!  Mr. Johnson was upset and he let us know it!  Ethan is in the process of learning how to have fun WITHOUT being destructive, but it is a hard lesson for him to learn and definitely counter-cultural.  The lesson was obviously for me in humility and the nail was driven in when Mr. Johnson brought me a bag of his beautiful tomatoes to enjoy.  He forgave Ethan and showed me what being a neighbor is all about.
